Adding Camera
Movement
The iClone camera system is a 'Free Cam' tool that allows you to use the
real-time preview
screen and your mouse to click and drag the position of the camera view. You
can select to alter the camera as a key
on the timeline in Animated camera mode or operate the camera in preview Still mode without adding keys to
the timeline. The iClone camera is flexible for filming complete scenes with
camera animation and cut scenes.
Use camera control tools
to set a still shot, or assign camera movement from the camera template
library.
To assign camera movement
1. Open
either a project you have created yourself, or one of the existing template
projects. Do this by clicking the Project button and double clicking one of the projects
in the file manager pane. If you saved a project after reading the previous
tutorial, use that project. Remember, your custom projects are in the custom
tab, and the predefined template projects are in the Template tab.
2. Click
the Scene icon and
then the Camera button, or click the camera option in the drop
down menu.
3. Apply
a camera movement from the Template tab in the file manager pane
by double clicking it.

When you click the play button you see your character
move and the camera angle also changes. In the Modify panel you can change
the camera lens position or
lock the camera on the character. See Camera
for details.

If you want to keep the camera setting, click the
Add
button to add it to the Custom tab.
